Blocks for February and March

sherrivanz had us make a wonderful modified String-X quilt (original was from Quiltville). I love being able to jump into my scraps to make the X part of this block. The Kona grey sets off all the prints wonderfully.

Nittany Block Party: February

LollyQuiltz had us make wonky log cabins for her block in March. I just love the Nicey Jane fabric from Heather Bailey. I didn't go too wonky with these blocks. I also kept to the traditional log cabin feel keeping the same color/hue on one side of the block. I wanted to show off the fabric to its best.

Blocks for Tracy

Here are my blocks for Tracy.  Hopefully, these will qualify as improvisional.  The ideas came from Gwen Marston's Liberated Quilting ll.  Hopefully, liberated is interpreted as improvisional!
At any rate, they sure were fun to make.  Hope you like them!!
Happy quilting,
Carla

Way Behind

I have April. GEEZ! I have on my calendar that I am July.
I am a LOSER!
Fabric will be on its way to all of you by the end of the week. I am soooooo sorry for the mix-up.
Have no idea how I did this other than having way too much on my plate the last 2 weeks.
Hubby and I just got back from a wonderful vacation so I am in the process of regrouping.
Thank for the email Carla!!

Lookin' Good!

As you can see, I am having fun visualizing what my quilt is going to look like!  Two more packages arrived in my mailbox today....thank you Joan and Shaina....the blocks are wonderful.  My plan is to make a queen size quilt for my bedroom so I have 20 blocks to make myself to get that accomplished.
I'm going to love it I can already tell!  You guys are the greatest.  Thanks again.
Piecefully,
Carla
